THERAPIST
My name is Tyler Zenz. I am licensed as an addiction counselor and certified as a peer support specialist. I have worked in the addiction and mental health field for 5 years, with my most recent experience including working as a mental health therapist for members enrolled in Drug, DUI, Mental Health, and Veteran’s Court. I have also worked in inpatient addiction treatment settings. Additionally, I have worked with the local police to help assist with mental health crisis response for individuals in crisis or experiencing suicidal ideations.
I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. There is no “one size fits all” approach for treatment, so I will tailor my treatment approach to meet your unique and specific needs – whether you are struggling with mental health, substance use, or a non-substance addiction such as gambling, food, exercise, pornography, etc. I cannot promise to fix all of your problems, but I can assure you that you do not have to face them alone.
PEER SUPPORT
David Brock, PEER SUPPORT, NA AND NA FACILITATOR
My name is David Brock. I was raised by my mother in a small town in Oklahoma. I have lived in South Dakota for almost 10 years and have been in recovery for the past three. Since getting sober, I strived to be an active positive role model in the recovery community. I spend a lot of my time going to different treatment centers and sharing my story, for an addict cannot keep what they have without giving it away. I found by sharing my story, I was able to help others in their recovery journey. I am currently facilitating support groups at Balance Foundation.
OUTREACH AND TREATMENT COORDINATOR
Margaret Brock, Outreach and Treatment Coordinator
My name is Maggie Brock. I grew up in Chamberlain, South Dakota, and moved to Sioux Falls a few years ago. I started my career in the addiction field a year ago as a life skills educator. I am currently enrolled at The University of South Dakota for Addiction Counseling and Prevention. I am in my recovery myself and have seen firsthand the struggles that come with addiction and the obstacles that come up in early recovery. I found that by being in recovery myself, I have compassion for others and what they are doing though. I use my experiences, faith, and hope to guide others as they start their own recovery journey.
